Photograph shows Pattullo Bridge under construction taken from the north span looking towards the South about 1936-1937. A man [poss. donor] standing on planks on the bridge deck beckoning a terrier dog into a begging position. No above deck superstructure is yet visible. Donor worked as a pick and shovel man on the north span for General Construction Co.for two years [donor says 1936/37 - bridge opened in 1937] during the summer to pay for university. He was not a steel worker, |
