Scope & Content The film has been divided into 2 parts, part 1 runs 9 minutes and 09 seconds long and features a waterworks crew replacing a water main and scenes from May Day 1963 and 1961. Part 2 runs 7 minutes and 53 seconds long and features scenes of the official opening of the New Queensborough Bridge in 1960, New Westminster Kiwanis Club Centennial project, and various home movies by Norman Lidster.

Part 1:

Part 1 of the film: Features scenes of the City of New Westminster’s waterworks crew replacing a six inch water main. This is following by scenes of trees and white flowers.

Starting at minute 4:18: Features scenes of May Day 1963. The scenes focus on the May Day float of May Day Queen Marie Burkhart with May Day 1962 former-queen Susan Bennie with the rest of the May Court. The May court is seen coming out of City Hall, parading from City Hall with the May Day float followed by a marching band.
