Getting inside your head… Neuroradiology specialist Dr. Kenneth Kaan tries out the new computerized brain scanner which went into operation at the Royal Columbian Hospital Saturday. The $570,000 machine is being paid for through a private community fund-raising effort sponsored by the hospital. From large donations from corporations to quarters dropped into beer parlor collection jars, money has poured in to pay for the machine which looks inside the brain. The drive for donations goes on as the fund is still about $100,000 short. |
