Followed Great Fire. This building, constructed in the decade following the Great Fire of 1898, was established even then as the Windsor Hotel. The ground floor (location of the existing beer parlor) was originally occupied by six stores, three facing Front St. and the others facing Begbie St. Over the last few years, however, the original facade of the post-fire building has been replaced by the modern siding and ornamental stonework that can be seen today. |
