Queensborough bowling Italian style. Bocci ball came to Queensborough in style on the weekend with the opening of a new court for the Italian game whose nearest rival is English bowls. Located at Ryall Park, the two lanes took about $2000 to build and 250 man hours of labor after a start was made last June. In photo, in middle is Percy Perry, assistant planner and head of the Neighbourhood Improvement Program for New Westminster, flanked on left by Bill Racanello and on right by Joe Tollarao, both coordinators of the building committee. |
