Photograph shows members of the Vagabond Players recruited to play the role of a group of citizens listening to the High Sheriff, J.A.R. Homer read Governor Seymour's Act of Union (1866) that united the Colony of Vancouver Island and the Mainland Colony of British Columbia. This re-enactment of this historic event was occuring 100 years later during New Westminster's Centennial week celebrations in 1966. Raymond Burr, well known native son and famous actor, played the role of High Sheriff J.A.R. Homer in this ceremony that took place in New Westminster City Hall. The Vagabond Players were told to come to City Hall in period costumes.
