Photograph shows St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, 121 East Columbia in Sapperton. Front view of the church. The original church was begun in January 11, 1865 and finished on the 20th of March 1865. It was built by the Royal Engineers. Renovations took place in 1921 and 1922, in order to prevent the decay of the old building and to increase space in the church and its hall. The original country church architecture was retained. See R283 Sa22 "A Century of Service: St. Mary the Virgin, Sapperton 1865-1965" for church history.
