Scope & Content Photograph shows the "Melrose" house and its front wall. J.B. Wilson built this house as his private family residence in 1911. The "Melrose" was named after a sister of the donor J. Boyd Wilson. Later this house became a nursing home. The "Melrose" had a stained glass dome which was 17 feet in diameter. This dome is now on display at the Centennial Museum, in the stained glass display area. Photograph no. 1640 is a close-up of this view. 1621 - 6th Avenue.
