The caption read: "The principal of Douglas College Dr. George Wootton, second from left, commutes regularly between North York, Ont., and the west coast, as he completes his term at Seneca College while organizing Douglas for opening in September, 1970. He was introduced at a reception Wednesday to trustees of the seven school districts sponsoring Douglas College: New Westminster, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Surrey, Delta, Langley and Richmond. He is seen above with three members of the college board. Chairman Jack Smedley, S.J. Graham, and Art Mercer. |
